Bureau VERITAS Celebrates With Plumkor Women
MONROVIA: The Bureau of VERITAS, a French Conglomerate, last week joined the world to celebrate the International Women’s Day with the women of Plumkor Community in Sinkor, under the theme: “Breaking the Bias.”nment of Assorted Food Items
Speaking in an interview with a local Freelance Journalist during the occasion, the Public Relations Manager, Delbert Deemie, said the significance of celebrating the day was to encourage women for their contributions in society and to urge them do more.
Mr. Deemie expressed satisfaction over the women turnouts and noted that women have been showing their unflinching contributions to society. He believes that women can equally operate socially, economically as men.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Plumkor Community, Boakai Kawah, welcomed the Bureau Veritas family and thanked them for thinking about the Women of Plumkor by joining them to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
Mr. Kawah encouraged the Plumkor Women to work together in creating programs that will motivate them and move the community forward.
Speaking on behalf of the Plumkor women, Madam Selina Fully encouraged parents, especially women to bring their children up in the right direction.
She urged women to ensure that their children are grown in a way that they should go and when they (children) grow old, they will not depart from it.
Madam Fully then recommended to the Leadership of the Plumkor Women to encourage other women in the community to work together for the betterment of the residents; Writes BAD (Freelance).
