MONROVIA: The Press Union of Liberia (PUL), is expected to commence the second phase of its Community Media Forums (CMFs) in Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount Counties on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Tuesday’s town hall forum will be conducted on the theme: “Land Rights Governance in Gbarpolu,” while on Thursday the forum will be held on “Trafficking in- Persons” in Grand Cape Mount.
The Union has dispatched a team to Western Liberia to facilitate the CMFs in the Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount Counties.
A PUL press release said all the town hall forums are being conducted by the Press Union of Liberia as part of the USAID Media Activity being managed by Internews-Liberia.
The themes for both forums are: “Enhancing Public Awareness on Trafficking in person” and ‘Creating Public Awareness on Land Rights and Conflict Prevention.”
The forums are expected to bring together one hundred (100) participants in each county from the civil society, chiefs and elders, youth groups, women groups, religious groups, the media including local and national stakeholders.
