Weah Extols India’s Elected President

MONROVIA: President George Manneh Weah has congratulated Mrs. Droupadi Mumu, President of the Republic of India, on her election as President of India.

In the message to his Indian counterpart, Madam Droupadi Mumu, President Weah extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Indian leader, and through her, to the friendly people of India.

According to a foreign Ministry press release, President Weah said President Droupadi Mumu’s victory signifies the trust and confidence that the people of India have in her ability to serve as Head of State of the Republic of India.
The Liberian President then expressed confidence that the two countries will nature new frontiers in their already existing bilateral ties, and continues to promote peace and security in keeping with the principles of the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations.

President Weah also prayed that the Almighty God will shower President Droupadi Mumu’s personal wellbeing with plentiful blessings in the midst of the global pandemic; as well as peace and prosperity for the people of India, the release, signed by Sylvester K. Pewee, Assistant Minister for Public Affairs added.
