‘Disabled Women Are Not Parasite’ – Nimba Chapter Clarifies

NIMBA COUNTY: National Union Organization of the disable Nimba branch The National Union Organization of the disable Nimba branch, has strongly distanced herself from false allegation that disable women are parasite.

According to Madam Nenlay Doe, the physically challenge individuals are part of society and should be treated equally without exclusion.

Madam Doe lamented that, she faced several constraints during her high school days with her classmates.

The Nimba County Disable Coordinator is meanwhile calling on citizens and organizations to include them in all activities if Liberia should develop.

She also mentioned that society should not look down on women with disabilities because 60 percent of them are learnt and can make sound decisions.

Madame Doe made the statement during a long day workshop conducted by Female Journalist Association of Liberia (FeJAL) to expose women participation in decision making. The workshop was held in Sanniquellie Nimba County.
