MONROVIA: The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) will on Friday, December 9, 2022, join other nations around the world to celebrate International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD).
The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 58/4 of 31st October 2003 declared December 9 of every year as International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) to be celebrated with appropriate programs by each nation.
These programs are structured around awareness raising and public sensitization campaigns on the danger that corruption poses to our very existence as nations of the world and the strategic actions to mitigate its negative impacts.
The International Theme for this year is: “UNITING THE WORLD AGAINST CORRUPTION” while the National Theme is: “PROMOTING INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR INCREASED CITIZENS’ PARTICIPATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.
The LACC has planned a series of activities to commemorate the day.
