Juli Endee Bags Global Award… For Promotion of Liberia’s Peace and Unity

PHILADELPHIA, USA: Liberia’s gifted Culture Ambassador and Traditional Queen, Juli Endee, has bagged another prestigious international award.

It was awarded to Ambassador Endee under the banner: “EMERALD GLOBAL PEACE AND HUMANITARIAN AWARD.”

Ambassador Endee is the Executive Director of Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP), and the torchbearer of the Golden Image Award (GIA).

This is the second time in a period of one month that Ambassador Endee has been honored for her “Dedication, Patriotism, Nationalistic Comportment,” and as well, her commitment to strengthening and consolidating Liberia’s peace and reconciliation efforts.

About a week ago, at ceremony in observance of International Women’s Day which was celebrated at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex outside Monrovia, Ambassador Endee was honored by the Women of Liberia for her numerous contributions to the growth and development of the country.

The President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, Vice President, Jewel Howard Taylor, among several eminent personalities were also honored for their services, dedication and commitment in supporting Liberian women in the promotion of peace and unity in Liberia.

Other recipients of the Emerald Award included super stars from Hollywood, New York, Georgia, Africa, Canada and other countries.

The award was presented to Ambassador Endee at the 5th Annual American Emerald Awards ceremony held in Philadelphia, USA, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the edifice of the Cicely Tyson Music Theatre.

The Emerald Awards were presented to the recipients by Hollywood celebrated Producer and Writer, Norbert Brown, Jr.

The Emerald Awards are often given to individuals who have played pivotal roles in addressing local, regional, and global challenges while promoting excellence across all sectors of the globe.

Sectors tipped for the awards include, business, community initiatives, healthcare, advocacy for women’s rights, peace and social works, among others.

Ambassador Endee formed part of Liberia’s delegation, headed by the Minister of Gender, Children Social Protection (MoGCSP) Williametta Piso Saydee Tarr to the United States.

Minister Tarr and members of the delegation are currently in the United States of America, attending the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The International Women’s Day celebration places focus on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and the promotion of Initiation without Mutilation.

Minutes upon receiving the Prestigious Emerald Award, Ambassador Endee dedicated the accolade to the women of Liberia, the Traditional Leaders and the Crusaders for Peace family for their enormous support and appreciable level of work done.

The Liberian Cultural Emissary and Traditional Queen extended thanks to the Government of Liberia, the United Nations, Ambassador Jaha Dukureh, and Tina Weusinger for their support.

She also extended appreciation to the Head of Liberia’s National Council of Chiefs and Elders, Zanzan Karwor, and other Traditional Leaders for gracing the award ceremony.
