Gov’t Dedicates Rebuilt Bridge In Bentol City

BENTOL CITY, MONTS: The Government of Liberia (GoL), through the Ministry of Public Works and the Office of Montserrado Superintendent, over the weekend, dedicated the Reconstructed Houphouet-Boigny’s Avenue Bridge in Bentol City, Montserrado County.

The reconstruction of the Bridge put to an end to “the donkey years of ruins” the structure faced, as the movements of both vehicles and pedestrians were prevented due to the appalling state of the Bridge, then.

The 45-feet-long concrete structure links the City of Bentol to many other adjoining settlements including Youth Camp, Todee, amongst others.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony on Friday, March 24, 2023, Deputy Public Works Minister for Administration, Joseph P. Todd, thanked the Government of Liberia for the Project, stressing that the development of the country requires the involvement of every stakeholder.

Mr. Todd mentioned the incredible efforts of President George Weah who, the ministry said, continues to place roads connectivity to the top of his Pro-Poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity.

Deputy Minister Todd also used the occasion to laud the residents of Bentol and other settlements for the level of cooperation during the intervention of Government.
