Weah Registered …Gets NEC Voting Card

MONROVIA: President George Manneh Weah has urged Liberians to be patient with the biometric voters’ registration process as it is a new system being carried out in the country.

President Weah participated in the biometric voter registration (BVR) process on Friday, March 31, 2023, and obtained his voting card at the Kendeja Elementary School on the RIA highway, in Paynesville.

Weah who reportedly went through the same normal process of registering, told Journalists that the process is not slow as speculated in some quarters but stressed the need for citizens to be law-abiding and obey the rules from the NEC officials.

Speaking after his registration process alongside his wife, First Lady Clar Marie Weah, he called on citizens to maintain the peace of the country to have a smooth process.

He encouraged citizens to obtain their Biometric Voter Registration Cards to enable them choose their government.

“To enable you choose your government, I am asking all citizens of voting age to peacefully abide by NEC procedures and obtain their cards,” the President said.
