…As Marylanders Blames Some Pro-CDC Media Outlets, Others For Biases
MONROVIA: Amidst what they termed as “massive and well-coordinated propaganda” several citizens of Maryland County, under the umbrella of a group, styled: “Maryland Justice Committee” (MJC), have expressed grave fear over the safety of Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott.
Making public their concerns via a Press Release, dated Thursday, April 20, 2023, the group expressed worries over what it called “the barrage of judgmental utterances from the some media institutions and politicians with close proximity to the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) led administration.
According to the group which comprises eminent Maryland citizens, the trend of bias and negative utterances against former Chief Justice Scott since the death of her daughter, Charloe Musu, gives reason for genuine fear for her safety.
The group, in its statement noted that taking into consideration that Justice Scott has been experiencing weird and worrisome occurrences in the last two years, fear for safety is of a paramount concern.
They narrated an awful case last year (2022) when Justice Scott’s license plate was surreptitiously removed from her car by unidentified persons while she was in an administrative hearing at the National Elections Commission (NEC) as a lead lawyer for Grand Bassa County Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence faction of the Liberty Party (LP).
According to the Maryland group, a traffic police officer who had observed the absence of the license plate warned that Justice Scott report the strange incident to the Inspector General of Police, Col. Patrick Sudue, an advice the group said, she (Justice Scott) took in consideration and reported the matter to the Liberia National Police (LNP)
The group added that since the incident, Cllr. Scott had been looking over her shoulders helplessly until the first and second attacks on the 8th and 9th of February 2023 at her Virginia residence, and the third attack which resulted to the murder of her daughter Charloe Musu.
The Maryland citizen group pointed out that the constant public condemnation of Justice Scott by politicians and pro-regime media actors sustain the fact that there has since been a politically motivated conspiracy scheme out of which all of the media propaganda is being hatched and spewed
