MONROVIA: Ahead of the 10, October, 2023 Legislative and Presidential elections, Unity Party (UP’s) Standard-bearer, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has received another endorsement, this time from a group, calling itself “Weah-Out Campaign.”

The group which consists of several persons from different political parties expressed its support to the Rescue Mission on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the UP Headquarters on Broad Street in Monrovia.

Reading the endorsement statement on-behalf the group, Lassana Kanneh, the group chairperson, said, that the future and destiny of Liberia, and its people, rest on the shoulders of Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

Members of the group noted that they have over the past weeks, observed and evaluated the perspectives and agendas of the various candidates in the upcoming elections and found out that Ambassador Boakai has the best agenda to uplift the Liberian Nation from its current deplorable conditions.

Mr. Kanneh: “Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s AREST manifesto, his honest, pragmatic, and hopeful insight into our country’s problems and needs, and his willingness to listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns, and then examine the issues have set him far apart from the other candidates.”

He opined that the “Weah-Out-Campaign” has not only come to pronounce the endorsement of JNB but to also express support for the campaign to Rescue Liberia, and take up membership of the Unity Party and to help spread the Rescue Mission message to others.
“We hope to establish a cordial working relationship here at the Unity Party and also help build on the strength of the party and improve on its weaknesses,” he stated.
Kanneh recalled how members of the group had earlier warned the Liberian people against voting the Coalition for Democratic Change led government in 2017.

However, he indicated that the people did not listen but went on the elect President Weah and his incompetent officials.
He noted that the incumbent President George Manneh Weah has taken the Country into the evil forest and only the former vice President of Liberia, Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai, can help bring back the nation from such a terrible place.
The UP political leader has in recent times, received several endorsements. The latest endorsement of Boakai comes fifty-four (54) more days to the crucial presidential and Legislative elections.

On Friday, August 11, 2023, the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia also officially endorsed the Boakai-Koung’s ticket.
The political institution with just eight months of existence is participating in the political process for the first time but without feeding a Presidential candidate.
However, the Party has thirty-two legislative candidates across the Country, two Senatorial candidates and thirty Representative candidates.

Speaking at a news conference in Monrovia, the Party’s Commander in Chief, Emmanuel Gonquoi, told reporters that their quest to support Unity Party’s candidates is derived from the suffering of the Liberian people and the lack of Jobs opportunities for citizens across the Country.
The Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL), led by Emmanuel D. Gonqoui, announced his resolute backing for the Unity Party’s ‘rescue mission despite facing off against a Unity Party candidate for the senatorial seat in Margibi County.
Gonquoi also revealed that the EFFL has reached a decision to deploy what he calls “Defender of Revolutionaries (DORs) aimed to safeguard opposition leaders”.
