MONROVIA: With less than 49 days to the conduct of the October 10, 2023, legislative and presidential elections, a professional group, under the banner: “Teachers, Students, and Women of Liberia Movement for Boakai,” has endorsed former ruling Unity Party’s Standard-bearer, Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai, for the presidency of Liberia.
Members of the group indicated that they endorsed Amb. Boakai because he is the best-way forward for a better Liberia and a trusted leadership.
He indicated that such leadership will deliver Liberia from bad governance of President George Weah.
Speaking at an endorsement program, held in Sinkor, this week, Mr. Ephram Ward, Acting Secretary General of the group, said these elections are meant to allow legitimate citizens of Liberia to review government’s applications of their resources to social developments, respect for the rule of law, and international cooperation.
He indicated that for massive jobs creation, Amb. Boakai and Senator Jeremiah K. Koon are the best persons to lead Liberia.
Mr. Ward said The Teachers, Students, and Women of Liberia Movement for Boakai” understands that the Unity Party Standard-bearer has been in politics for a very long time and he knows how to govern his people effectively.
He expressed the belief that Amb. Boakai is best-suited to govern Liberia following the October 10, Legislative and Presidential Elections.
“We believe in his ability as a leader,” he added. According to him, the Movement for Boakai believes that only the Unity Party Standard-bearer can deliver Liberians from poverty and hardship.
He stressed that Movement has observed that things are not going in line with what they expected from the government.
He assured that if Amb. Joseph N. Boakai is given any chance to take Liberia from where it is now; things will change for the betterment of all.
Ward pointed out that teachers, students, and the Women of Liberia Movement for Boakai was established to propagate the good messages of Amb. Joseph N. Boakai.
“We vividly want to educate them because of our role in society as teachers who are impacting knowledge,” he added.
