NTUPAW Wants President-elect To Enforce ‘Liberianization’ Policy …Applauds Weah For Safeguarding Liberia’s Democratic Image

MONROVIA: The Secretary General of the National Trade Unions of Public Service and Allied Workers (NTUPAW), Mr. Tye K.S Jaye, has appealed to president-elect, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, to enforce the ‘Liberalization policy.’

He said the ‘Liberalization policy’ is among other things that give exclusive rights to Liberians to certain businesses and protect them in other aspects in the country.

He spoke with reporters in an interview over the weekend. According to him, if the ‘Liberianization’ policy is fully implemented, Liberians will be on path with their foreign counterparts and control their own economy.

He, however, extended his warmest congratulations to Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., on his election as President of Liberia and Jeremiah Kpan Koung as Vice President-elect.

This historic achievement is being hailed as a significant milestone for the nation and its people, he further told reporters.

He also expressed his sincere appreciation to President George M. Weah for his gracious concession of defeat.

The Trade Union Secretary General also commended Weal’s act of democratic sportsmanship, highlighting that it not only showcased the strength of Liberia’s democratic values but also enhanced the
country’s image on the international stage.
