MIA Enterprise Unveils Money Remittance Services

MONROVIA: The MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service, an authorized agent of the International Bank of Liberia (IB), on Monday, December 12, 2023, dedicated its long-awaited international money transfer service in Caldwell Dixville, outside Monrovia.

The new service, first to be established, was unveiled at a major program held in the Community.

The services will enable individuals in other countries to send money directly to their relatives, friends and families in Liberia.

Dixville is a township in Greater Monrovia District, Montserrado County, Liberia.

It is one of the townships that were founded in between 1828 and 1847 (when Liberia was declared an independent state).

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony, the General Manager MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Services, Miss Stelior Kettor, expressed excitement about the dedication of the Money Remittance Service.

She said that it would afford families abroad the convenience of being able to easily and securely send money to Liberia.

“Most of our people go through struggles daily to receive money from their families, friends and loved ones abroad,” she explained.

“Most people have to endure long lines in packed banking halls to receive cash sent to them by their loved ones,” she disclosed.

According to her, “the dedication and opening of the MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service, would address these issues.”

Madam Kettor noted that, through their services, individuals abroad can send money to Liberia.

Miss Kettor who is the daughter of the President of the Liberia Association of Gospel Artists, Mrs. Miracle Kettor, indicated that the MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service will offer services such as MoneyGram, RIA, Western Union, Sand wave/MTN mobile money, orange money, Recharge Care among others.

She told the gathering that, the MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service is being authorized by the International Bank of Liberia (IB) to do Deposit, Withdrawal, provide mini statement and open Accounts for customers.

For his part, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rev. Wisdom Zio, lauded the participants for gracing the occasion and expressed his confidence and trust in the General Manager MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service, Miss Stelior Kettor.

He told the gathering that alongside the Money Remittance Service, he will open a credit Union, Medical Health Insurance for pastors, churches and church workers in the country.

Rev. Zio and said through the MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service, the first ever International Trade School will be established in the country and a scholarship scheme will also be launched to help less fortunate females in Liberia.

The dedication event was attended by host of MIA Enterprise Money Remittance Service banking and financial partners, International Bank of Liberia, Liberia Association of Gospel Artists (LAGMA) Ambassador Christian Fellowship, as well as Community dwellers, Friends and well-wishers.
