MONROVIA: The founder and senior Pastor of the Light of the World Salvation Church in the Township of Gardnerville, Rev. /Dr. Peter Jallah, has called on Liberians not to take the laws into their own hands as they fight against crimes.
Rev. Jallah made the call on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, when he was certificated and honored by the Youth United Against Crimes and Violence in Liberia.
“In our fight against crimes, we must always remember that we cannot, and must not take the law into our own hands. Mob justice is wrong! It is a violation of the law, we must allow justice to take its course even though the wheels of justice sometimes turn slowly,” he said.
Emphasizing the need to ensure the effectiveness of the rule of law in Liberia, Rev. Jallah gave the assurance that, he will work with other partners closely to help reinforce the rule of law and strengthen the administration of justice in the community.
Earlier, the president of the youth United Against Crimes and social based violence in Liberia, Joseph Korbio, said his organization will mobilize and educate youths in the community not to get involved in any acts of violence in the communities.
He said his organization decided to certificate and honor Rev. Jallah based on his meaningful contributions to the community.
