MONROVIA: Chairman of the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, Janga Cole, has disclosed that the CDC has a huge interest in working with other opposition political parties in Liberia to unseat President Joseph Boakai comes 2029.
He made the disclosure when he attended a meeting for the final dissolution of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), which was then, headed by Alexander Benedict Cummings, the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC).
During his remarks at the ceremony, chairman Cole said now that the CDC is back in position, it is time to bring the Unity Party led government’s feet to fire by holding it accountable for every misstep along the Way.
Chairman Cole pointed out that former president Weah is opened for partnership with any opposition parties including the ANC that campaigned against CDC.
He further indicated that regardless of the Unity party defeating them all with an error of margin results, the CDC remains peaceful and conceded defeat; adding that the ANC 1% votes remain questionable till today’s date.
Meanwhile, the Collaborating Political Parties which comprises of the Liberty Party (Bility’s Faction) and the Alternative National Congress has also announced its own dissolution.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Alternative National Congress in Congo Town, Monday April 15, 2024.
