MONROVIA: Director of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Abraham Kromah, has categorically rejected claims he and his Deputy, Hassan Fadiga, are at loggerheads.

Director Kromah made the clarification when he addressed the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), regular press briefing, held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Monrovia.
According to Kromah, his deputy, Hassan Fadiga, is one of his buddies and a hardworking person at the LDEA.

The LDEA Boss told the news conference that there is no justification to hold any grudge against Hassan Fadiga, whom he described as one of the hard-working persons he has ever worked since his appointment to the LDEA top position.

He indicated whatever internal conflicts they may have had have been settled to move Liberia forward and in combatting illicit drugs nationwide.

He further indicated that the principal goal of the LDEA is to eliminate drugs and that is their primary focus.

Kromah: “Above all misunderstandings, the agency remains supreme.”
Weeks ago, there were widespread rumors that the LDEA Boss was planning to stand down officers of the operation wing or annex of the LDEA.

Some LDEA insiders who prefer anonymity for administrative and security reasons that the purported rivalry between Kromah and Fadiga was having a negative impact on the government’s intention to win the raging war against illicit drugs.
The LDEA insiders, at the time, hinted that Director Kromah ordered that all LDEA officers should not take orders from Fadiga until otherwise order and that Fadiga has consistently walked out of LDEA Senior Staffs meeting.
With the latest clarifications from Abe Kromah, the public is looking to see how the two top and United States trained LDEA officials will conduct themselves in the management and operations of the agency, and in the war against illicit drugs.
