MONROVIA: Despite President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s outcry on the operations of Western Cluster-Liberia, owned by an Indian firm, VEDANTA, as it relates to the exploitation of Liberian reserved iron ores in Western Liberia, the Ministry of Public Works has gone contrary to the President’s publicly expressed position.

Recently, upon President Boakai’s visit to the operational sites of Western Cluster-Liberia in Bomi County, he lamented that the company’s transportation of the reserved iron ores by roads was damaging bridges that could be dangerous for Liberia tomorrow.
