MONROVIA: Many people continue to say that Liberia will reach 177 years of age on July 26, 2024 but has nothing good to show with all of the suffering of the people of Liberia. Your humble servant only became eighty three years of age on July 17, 2024 but he knows that truth is as follows: Liberia has much to how locally and globally.

The main evidence showing that Liberia has something to show is the rising level of awareness among the people of Liberia as seen in the talking about better living conditions and the walking of the talking. Listen to the talk shows on radio and you will hear much more talking. While much of this talking is about matters that do no matter the point is that they are talking. Due to awareness raising, many more people are talking and with the walking of the talking problems are being solved locally and globally.

From the awareness raising, persons with good records are being elected and re-elected into public offices in Liberia and elsewhere. This situation is due to the awareness raising that brought out information exposing the fraudulent elections in Liberia. Remember in 1927, the National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia, the supervisor of elections indicated publicly that 15,000 Liberians had registered to vote but two hundred and forty three thousand people voted, leading Liberia entering into the Guinness Book of Records as the Nation having the most fraudulent election. This is the same Liberia that set a world record on October 10, 2023 with 76.86 % of the voting age population voting.

Praises continue to flow locally and globally praising immediate past State regime of holding a fair election. Let the praises flow but the people know the source of the betterment as they benefit from continuous awareness raising. Although the praises give the impression that the main societal problem in Liberia is solved with the entry of the new State regime, such is not the case with the evidence abound on the continuation of the business as usual operations. This continuation does not mean that the main societal problem is not being addressed. It means that progress is going on but the solving of the problem is in a process rather than in an event.

Therefore. when looking at the Guinness Book of Records in 1927 and looking at the results of the election of October 10,2023. one can say that the only way that electoral situation is transformed is through the transformation of the prevailing unfair electoral system into the enduring fair electoral system within the Rule of Law. It is only through this transformation that persons with good records can get elected to bring in the system of Justice, the indispensable ingredient for Peace and Progress in Liberia and in any other country.
