MONROVIA: The operations of the Liberia National Police (LNP), aimed at ensuring law and order have been enhanced as LNP, over the weekend, received brand new motorbikes and US$2,000 from a prominent Liberian, Mr. Anthony Cassell Kuoh Sr.
Mr. Kuoh, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO/Founder) of New Energy Electric Vehicles-Liberia (NEEV), the Kuoh Foundation and FC Fassell, made the donation on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the head offices of NEEV in Monrovia.
Speaking at ceremony marking the donation, the top Liberian businessman and sports administrator stated that the gifts are aimed at enhancing the police’s work as they embark on a strategic retreat this weekend in the leeward parts of the country.
Mr. Kuoh pointed out that the donation was in line with his patriotic duty as a Liberian citizen.
“Whenever we are called upon as a patriotic citizen and humanitarian, we always show up. Few hours ago, we were called upon by the LNP for support because they are going on a retreat. We thought it wise as humanitarians to extend our goodwill gesture in order to empower them, so that they will in turn, protect the lives of our citizens and make sure they maintain the peace of this nation,” said the philanthropist.
“We discussed it, and I told my management team and they endorsed my decision. So, today, I am here to donate two motorbikes and two thousand United States Dollars,” he added.
The LNP, led by some top ranking officials including official spokesperson, Madam Cecelia Clarke, lauded Mr. Kuoh for his kind gesture, which according to them, will help the police in moving into the trenches in the exercise of its sacred duties and responsibilities.
