MONROVIA: The Foundation of Christ Charity Ministries, a local non-profit organization, is set to make a substantial contribution to the education of children in several communities at 72nd Community in Paynesvillle, outside Monrovia.
Ahead of the new school year, the organization has announced plans to donate essential school supplies, including copybooks, pencils, bags, and other necessities.
In an interview over the weekend, Larlee G. Nyonton, President of the Foundation of Christ Charity Ministries, emphasized the importance of supporting underprivileged children in their educational journey.
“Our organization is dedicated to helping children who are in need, especially those who are not currently attending school,” said Nyonton.
“We believe that by providing these necessary supplies, we can give them a better chance at receiving quality education,” he stressed.
The donation event is scheduled for August 25, 2024, and aims to reach as many children as possible before schools reopen.
The Foundation currently operates daily study classes with feeding programs for children that are not enrolled in school, demonstrating their commitment to education and community support.
Nyonton urged other humanitarian organizations and individuals to join their efforts in supporting these children.
He mentioned that the foundation is solely sponsored by its founder, Mr. Christopher Zazar. “We invite all who are able to contribute to join us in this cause. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of these children,” he said.
This initiative by the Foundation of Christ Charity Ministries is a vital step towards ensuring that every child across Liberia has the resources they need to succeed in their education.
Nyonton disclosed plans to operate a free Early Childhood Education program once their building currently under construction is completed.
Additionally, he announced the continuation of after-school tutoring for both enrolled and non-enrolled children.
Founded in 2020, the Foundation of Christ Charity Ministries aims to operate in at least four locations in Monrovia and in five other counties.
The foundation calls for increased support as it plans to expand its assistance to elderly people when funds become available.
Located in the 72nd community of Paynesville, opposite the Viewpoint German Clinic, the foundation welcomes anyone wishing to help.
Interested individuals can visit the office or call +231776159795. Currently, the foundation is working with older adults, providing education on natural health.
Larlee added that during the upcoming event, they will also be inviting people with disabilities to receive food and other essential items.
The Foundation of Christ Charity Ministries’ efforts are a beacon of hope for many in Monrovia, showcasing the power of community and charity in transforming lives.
