MONROVIA: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has nominated National Port Authority (NPA’s) former Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Atty. Yekeh Forpka, as Deputy Education Ministration for Administration.
Atty. Forpka replaces Mr. James Armah Massaquoi who has been dismissed by President Boakai for Administrative reasons.
President Boakai, on Tuesday, August 7, 2024 relieved Massaquoi with immediate effect of his post as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Education.
Following the sacking of Massaquoi, the Liberia Leader nominated Atty. Forkpa as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry pending confirmation by the Senate.
In his letter of appointment to Atty. Forkpa, the Liberian Chief Executive expressed the trust that he will execute his duties with diligence and loyalty to country.
Forkpa has wide range of experience in public administration and governance.
He previously served as Managing Editor of Liberia’s second oldest newspaper, The NEWS newspaper, before traveling to the United States of America for further studies.
