MONROVIA: The incumbent President of the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureaus, Mr. Nimely Sayeh, has been re-elected by members of the Association of over the weekend in Monrovia.
The incumbent President, Sayeh, contested unopposed during Friday’s Polls which were held at the Association Headquarters on Johnson Street in Central Monrovia.
Speaking in an interview following the election, the Chairman of the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureau election committee, Mr. Ferry Barseh Menkerm, lauded the electorate of the association for the peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves.
He told this paper that, the weekend election was successful and admonished all Liberians to emulate the good example of the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureau voters.
Mr. Memker named other elected officials as Nelson Curry, Vice President; Robert Senton, General Secretary General; Lassana Townsan, Assistance Secretary General; and Mr. Othello Duo, Financial Secretary. He noted that all elected officials are to serve for a four-year term.
For his part, the reelected President, Mr. Nimely Sayeh, thanked his colleagues for maintaining their trust in him. He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him to the best of his ability.
In a joyous mood, Sayeh told this paper that he will do all within his power, and with the collective help of all members of the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureau to make it second to none in Liberia.
He used the occasion to appeal all members of the association to rally to continue to support his leadership for the success of their association. He stressed the growth and development of the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureau.
